A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST

Thresholds have always intrigued me. I believe that magical transformations occur when passing through doorways into homes, temples, or even commercial buildings. But I am especially drawn to the thresholds we experience moving through more mysterious passageways—alleyways and tunnels, for example—where there is a greater degree of uncertainty, where a little adrenaline rush pushes us forward to explore.

In these three images, I invite viewers to look beyond what is immediately visible, and to imagine what might lie ahead.
